Limehouse Neighborhood Plan Charrette,
Summerville, SC – with Dover, Kohl & Partners
The plan for the new neighborhoods of the Limehouse tract in Summerville, SC provided opportunity for connecting surrounding neighborhoods through a network of walkable streets with a neighborhood scale retail center. The plan was developed in collaboration with Town of Summerville Planners, SC DOT, and citizen involvement through a multi-day charrette. The project is currently being developed.
Johnnie Dodds Boulevard Corridor Alternatives,
Mt. Pleasant, SC – with Dover, Kohl & Partners
Working with the East Cooper Planning Council, property owners along the corridor, and more than 250 additional stakeholders used the Charrette Method to develop a plan to reconfigure Johnnie Dodds Boulevard (US Highway 17) into an urban boulevard including intersection, transit, beautification, and pedestrian streetscape improvements was developed. The Plan balances future travel demands with place making and created a new identity for this high volume corridor in the town of Mount Pleasant. The corridor is currently being redeveloped.
Old Town Bluffton Master Plan & Form-based Code,
Bluffton, SC – with Dover, Kohl & Partners
A multi-day charrette with more than 300 participants created a Master Plan and Form-based Code for the Old Town Bluffton Historic District that promotes orderly development while identifying important corridor and other public sector improvements throughout the Historic District. The Form-based code ensures that new development is consistent with Bluffton character. The Master Plan is being implemented, and the Form-based Code has been adopted by the Town.
